Planning of the trip started about 2 months ago. Just yesterday I found out the backpack I wanted to take doesn't fit, my trekking boots are tearing apart and I'm missing essential stuff for the journey. Luckily we'll be spending 1 day in NYC to do some pre-trip shopping.
Getting advice from many people, and under the given time constraints, I sketched up the following trip plan. It is pretty tight, but there is some buffer for rainy days or places we want to stick around for a day or two more.
